Dorka vs Blanca this Saturday

This Saturday in the Italian league, Dorka's Schio team is playing against Blanca's Campobasso team. Regular season is nearing an end and both teams are near the top of league standings. Don't ask, because I don't know how to watch it, I have tried to find safe links. The point is this is the level of player that Blanca is playing against regularly (even if they do not guard each other) so Blanca should be battle tested for next season.

Have I simply missed Blanca's verbal? As far as I know Geno has not mentioned her at all...even with a verbal he would have to wait till she signs [early spring....ala Sarah Strong]. Our class of 2025 is now at two...Kelis and Gandy.
That would seem to indicate room for at least one more. Blanca seems to have versatile forward skills...perhaps ready
to compete for a rotation spot right away?

Blanca gave a verbal according to an IG post. But she's not "officially committed" I don't think. Not sure how it works.

Well...I'm glad to hear of her verbal...but there has to be a signing to make the committment 'official'...I think.
Even then there can be changing of minds.

Very nervous about this, as Blanca will be our best freshman next year. Until she signs her financial aid document, she is not a Husky. Praying for that to happen soon. Real soon.

As info, Blanca’s PT has been generally limited to 10-15 mpg off the bench in Campobasso’s recent games, which is still pretty impressive for a17-18 year old in the Italian pro league.

I know we are all waiting impatiently to hear definitively that Blanca is locked up for next year’s class, which may simply be that she shows up on campus for summer classes and workouts with the team.

If it makes anyone feel better, she shared multiple stories of posts saying things like “UConn’s first recruit from South America” and other stories of people tagging her and the UCONN account.

Schio won this game over Campobasso 69-56. Blanca was high scorer at 16pt 2rb 3ast, Dorka had 10pt 11rb 2ast.
