I have not seen enough to make any across the board comparisons of Dorka's total game vs Liv's total game based on one game. However, I have watched videos of Dorka when she was at Ohio State and I've watched Liv play for the Huskies to date. I put this on this thread to avoid the toxic atmosphere of the "who should be starter" thread since that one seems to have become rather toxic. I will say this. In my opinion, Liv is slow (almost mechanical - it's like you can see the wheels turning in her head) and deliberate when she makes an offensive move to the basket. This allows double, and sometimes triple teams to collapse on her making it very difficult to score against a front line with similar size. Fortunately she is a good passer and can make good thing happen if she has an open cutter to get the ball to. Dorka looks much quicker making it more difficult to bring a double or triple team to defend against her scoring. This means that if the opposing team wants to double team her down low, they have to leave their man or place in the zone sooner which should result in someone being open to cut to the hoop or take an open shot. We have yet to see how Dorka will handle passing out of a double team if she is cut off from making her move to the basket when she goes up against players of similar size. That decision making will be critical to her success. Certainly both players bring their talents to the table and I'm sure Geno has the experience and savvy to bring out the best in both of them to contribute to the success of the team.
