I wasn’t able to watch last nights game, but was it a bit easier for her because PHX is missing their big?I agree she played very well. Pili as well, she has a nice three point shot. The Lynx may have the best bench in the league. Hopefully Diamond Miller is not lost for the season.
The style of play that the Lynx employ suits her well. They are a well coached team that features great ball movement, motion, and chemistry. Not unlike UConn. Unlike many WNBA teams, they make often make five or six passes before a shot goes up. Find the open player. Imagine that in the WNBA, the land of the high volume shooters.
Dorka's hoops came mostly on assists, cuts to the basket or spotting up outside. She is also capable of driving to the hoop especially from the right side. Her shot release near the basket is often somewhat unorthodox, but effective.
Yes, not having Griner for the Mercury hurts them a lot and their big players, Mack, Herbert-Harrigan and Dixon, are unexceptional. The rebound battle was even though, 36 to 36.I wasn’t able to watch last nights game, but was it a bit easier for her because PHX is missing their big?
Like you, as I was watching last night, I was thinking how the Lynx bench is really good and could help them in the post season. Reeve is doing a nice job getting the starters some rest when possible. They’ll need it laste in the season, as they have some Olympians who won’t get the break that most players will later in the season.I agree she played very well. Maybe. Or maybe Dorka would have done this with BG in the game. We will never know. The only thing we do know is, Dorka played well against the Mercury's post players.I wasn’t able to watch last nights game, but was it a bit easier for her because PHX is missing their big?
I am just happy that Coach Reeve used and trusted the bench and going deeper with the rotation, especially in this game against Phoenix, a little more each game. Like any coach, coach Reeve gives a lot of minutes to players who are struggling, and you hope that they fight through that struggle, rather than giving another player a chance to shine or not shine.I agree she played very well.
