We are season ticket holders for the games in Hartford but do not contribute to UCONN club (no points). Naturally our seats are not very good, in the second bowl. Does anyone know how much you need to contribute to get seats in the lower bowl? Would it be better choice to just buy tickets for the "big" games through Stub-Hub and skip the other games? Thanks in advance for the advice.

Someone else can chime in here, but my research told me that it was cheaper to StubHub or scalp the old fashioned way tickets for premium games than it was to try to buy your way into lower bowl seating via donations. Obviously, donations to UConn Club support the university and athletic department in all kinds of ways, so there's more value to donating than quality of seats, but of seat quality is your primary motivation, that would be my feedback.

Way, way, way cheaper to buy them from scalpers, stub hub, etc....you'd need to donate thousands of dollars for a number of years to get close to the lower bowl...then you have to pay for your tickets and have no idea what seats you'll get until they arrive at your house.

Hey blondie...your looking good!!!!

Hey slew...good to see you back here! Hope things are going well...stay strong!

Heard you were indisposed, Ruffian, hope all is well.

Or you can just buy Jerry Franklin an ice cream and sit in one of his premium seats that CPTV decided not to auction off.

Ruffian? - You can't be too sick if you can still hit on women half your age. I'll assume that you've already established a D O M rep among the nurses on your floor. As for the hospital expenses, don't waste time worrying about it. What are they going to do to you - make you watch nothing but Rutgers games?

Do what the docs tell you and don't sass the nurses and you'll be just fine.

If I'm reading the above site correctly, it looks like there should be plenty of seats available in the lower bowl (In Hartford) with a $50. DONATION.

Here I was hoping someone was maybe donating $10 million to replace the bench seats in Gampel.

Don't forget that those lower bowl tickets were originally obtained by big donors in one manner or another. There should be no guilt in stub hubbing.

From that link, it looks like the minimum points for the worst seats available in the lower bowl, you would need 100 priority points. Without looking to see if things have changed, it used to be $100=2 points, and only half those points carry over to the follow season.

Acually that site was updated for 2011-12

with more seats available for lower point totals. The way I'm reading into it is donors with 2 to 50 points can get seats in sections 108-111 and 120-123. Checking with the Husky Donor Club would be the smart move.

I don't see that...lowers in the corners are 50 to 250 points...a friend gave $5000 the last few years, and had donated thousands a year since DT was a freshman...she still hasn't gotten lower bowl seats. If someone can get 2 priority points and get lower bowl season tickets, I'd like to see how.

We are talking about season ticket seats anywhere in Sections 101-124 at the XL for WB? Not how low you can go in that section with your point total. You are probably right, no 2 point season ticket holders in the 100's sections. But a declining donor base and declining season ticket buyers can change that. The linked sites state that the corner sections (107,112 119,124) needed 100-288 points for those seats in 2009-10 and 50-250 points in 2010-11. Trend Downward. Who knows, there might be 2-49 point season ticket holder sitting in your friends section this year 2011-12). An intial ($50. membership) in the Uconn Club get you 2 points for joining. There's about 5000 donors, some being football only, some men's basketball only, some Gampel, some XL and some get tickets for everything. There's no way to know how many of those donors are XL women's basketball season ticket holders and what point category they're in. Of the 5000 donors , I'll bet almost all have been donors forever and have tons of points. It would be nice if the site broke down how many points each donor has. It doesn't, so I'm guessing there's not many in the 2-49 point category. The linked site doesn't earmark the seats behind the baskets in Sections 108,109,110, 111, 120,121,122 and 123, so there may be seats out there for a mere 2 points. Pure Speculation On My Part. Like I said previously, checking with the Uconn Club would be the way to go, and things change from year to year.

Our XL seats are in 108, with a good view down the court, no basket obstruction. I don't belong to the Club, but have had these seats or others similar for 5 years. I buy my tix when they email the early offers out. This year they were only $15/ea/game. I am pretty happy with the price and the location!
