Truth be told, if Hank Hughes becomes the DC I think we'll be okay. We've had top 10 defenses with him as DC in the past... that being said it still sucks.

Truth be told, if Hank Hughes becomes the DC I think we'll be okay. We've had top 10 defenses with him as DC in the past... that being said it still sucks.

Truth be told when's the last time you heard I top tier recruit mention he wants to play for HH? No disrespect to coach. I'm sure he can recruit the heck out of tweeners ( sure fire top tier FCS talent, low to mid- level FBS talent ), but the record speaks for itself... We're trying to build a program.. We can throwing up in our own mouths...

the athletic department acts like they plan on disbanding the football program. No games scheduled past this year, keeping a fossil for a coach who is lame duck at best, let the DC go to your nearest rival to coach with a guy who probably should have been offered your hc job in first place. Its a brilliant strategy

The killer part was him leaving for of all teams BC... That's like sticking a knife in the back of the fanbase (not on his part but the folks running the UCONN football program...They actually let that happen)...

We're not going to build anything with PP as the head coach.

I'm just pointing out that there probably wont be much of a drop off in terms of the quality of the DC if HH is the new DC. As good of a coach as I think HH is... that's hardly the issue though. It's one more PR hit for UConn. You can scream to the mountain tops about how many players HH has put in the NFL... and we're still going to get killed on ESPN...
