So a quick look at the NCAA record books:
Uconn now owns the following team full year stats:
A. Winning percentage seasons - 7 of the top 10 (helps when you have 5 undefeated seasons!)
B. Margin of Victory - the top 4 (and 6 of the top 10, 9 of the top 15)
C. Scoring defense - the top 2 (and 3 of the top 5)
D. FG % Defense - the top 3, and 4 of the top 5 (6 of 10 and 8 of 15 as well.)

Pretty cool!

Interesting thing is that Uconn only places two teams in the top 20 of scoring offense at #10 and #15 - the MOV numbers come from great defense balanced with good offense. Hard to run up the scores when teams have to used so much of the shot clock just to find a ok shot.

And the teams in the OP span the full 20 championship years - 5 completely different line-ups producing very similar defensive/MOV numbers - the personnel changes the commitment to defense does not.

Big deal, stats can be deceiving. How many National Championships do they have?
