Does This "Stuff" by Paige Count As Layups?

I think we had 2 of these in the game. To me it looked like light was being bent!

A jumper or a layup or a physics lesson?


I noticed both times that she kept her left, taped thumb hand off the ball as she went strong. May have something to do with that as well.

I've seen her use that shot a couple of times. I think it's a new piece in her arsenal or at least one that she's dusted off and decided to showcase. Likewise, I noticed that Nika Muhl is going to the reverse layup pretty frequently.

She did the same move a couple of times during her Senior year in high school.

I believe it was a physics lesson, as the defense was in awe of the demonstration, and had a bit of "English" from billiards as it kissed off the glass...
