The B1G wouldn't implement this by themselves, they're proposing this as a national change affecting all conferences. It would ruin the Kentucky basketball model, as the one-and-dones would start going overseas.

Doubt this will pass due to competitive pressure; but, it show that the B1G still takes the academic side of the house seriously, unlike the SEC, who doesn't even try or the ACC who says theu are a serious academic conference and then invites Louisville.

Cream of the crop BBall recruits would go overseas hurting the talent level while Football programs get a year to mature and ease players into their systems. Once again showing schools are caring less and less about Basketball.
