DL Jelani Stafford declares for NFL Draft

Man love this guy. I hope he sticks somewhere.

If we had a team of Jelani's we'd be in the playoff.
What a great player and young man. Integrity and hard work without complaining about anything.
We all should wish him well in life and in football if he's able to make a roster. I'd like to see him rushing for short yardage TD's in the NFL and stopping the middle of the line on defense.

Been awhile since we have had DL make the impact on the program he had. Like a long while. One of the guys who we will talk about and compare future players for years to come he was that kind of standard.

I see a potential rotation DT. 6-1, 300 lb run stuffer. He is short, so low center of gravity. He heavy enough?

Dexter Lawrence is a NG, he is 6-4, 340. So I would think Stafford is a DT or can he play DE in a 3-4 or inside in 4-3?

Hard not love Jelani. Great run stuffer. Short yardage runner for us last year. This year he was in a few offensive plays as an extra blocker. He had great enthusiasm for our program. He was one of my all time favorite UConn football players.

I cannot wait to see what Jelani does at the combine if invited. If not, he will definitely turn some heads at UConn pro-day!!
