I understand this will be controversial and elicit strong response from Husky hockey fans, but IMO it is time to ditch "Brass Bonanza".
I was a loyal Whalers' season ticket holder and suffered through 20 years of marginal hockey. Overall sub .500 record and 1 playoff series win in that time! We were so excited about that 1 playoff win that we had a parade for them. UConn hockey will be a strong competitive program at some point, because that's what UConn does. Reminding everyone of the feckless Whalers after each UConn goal doesn't do much to spur the team and fans on. (Especially those with accurate Whaler memories.)
