Disney said there was "no merit whatsoever to this filing."

This sounds a lot like what ESPN said to the Big 12. Disney executives apparently don't know a lot of words. The track record of actors suing studios over these royalty splits is pretty good.

These kind of actions by studios and networks are colossally stupid, because they force actors, or in the Big 12's case, content providers, to simply demand more up front because the studio/network can't be trusted to play nice.
 
This was a few years back, but I was talking with a small businessman and he said Disney's payment terms were net 45. That always seemed scummy to me.
