I too am a long time DirecTV customer. I've had cable or satellite TV so long, I can't imagine life without it. For one thing, we'd NEVER see UConn women's basketball on TV. I only subscribe to the "sportsPak" during the time frame they broadcast UConn women's basketball games. I've only got the "3 months free" deal once. After that, I've to pay every time which is OK. It's money well spent. The first game they will televise will be Saturday 11/17 vs Vanderbilt. A 30 minute UConn women’s preview show airs 30 minutes before the tip. I will call DirecTV Saturday morning to have them add the sportspak to my account. On the day of the last game they televise, I will call them (after the game) to have the sportspak removed. I record every game, and usually watch it again at least once if they win. I never watch replays of games they lose. It was bad enough sitting through those losses once. I refuse to relive that horror a second time. Everyday it's active on your account, you pay for it. It's prorated. I don't watch any other programing on the sportspak. If I could only get the SNY channel alone I would. SNY is scheduled to televise 15 games this season. The remainder of the games will be carried by ESPN/ESPN3, Fox Sports 1, CBS Sports Network & The PAC 12 Network (Cal-Berkeley game Dec 22) Tip in - unless you can access the Pac12 network through your cable provider, or you can access it through a media “stick”, you’re going to be out of luck on watching the Cal game. Perhaps a local sports bar in your area that has access to the Pac12 network, can provide a solution to this dilemma.
