we had a decent lead, couldn`t protect it, and self destructed. Is there a better explanation?

We played the last 6 minutes like we were very tired.

I think we're ready for the Tourni.

Syracuse is very good, but not as good as their record suggests. I don't think they have a great shot of winning it all. Too many holes in their game.

We choked. The stood around for most of the shot clock and then settled for mediocre at best shots. The offense was moving before and everything was working and they just got complacent.

I didn't see the game (no ESPN3 at work), but the comments paint a picture of a very tentative offense the last 12 minutes. I wouldn't go so far as to call it a "choke" (our biggest lead was 8 points with 13 minutes to go, against the #2 team in the country), but it certainly looks like an inability to play with a lead, which is something that's plagued us all season.

For this team, I like some time off. Don't be confused, I prefer they win, but there are some injuries that need some time to heal and extra practice couldn't hurt.

Yeah we choked.

If that makes people feel better than go right ahead and throw the team under the bus when most of y'all where all right back on the bandwagon yesterday.

We lost a 3 pt game to a team that has 1 loss this season. The loss being without their starting center.

We have an 8 player rotation. We could survive 5 games in 5 days last yea because we had players like Okwandu and Beverly coming in as our 9th and 10th man so everyone outside of Kemba got decent rest. We have 7 and a half players this year and a lot of the team ran out of gas especially after the OT comeback yesterday.

But yeah the team choked and we are losing in the first weekend next week. If thats the spin you want to take from this weekend go ahead.

I am not sure if it's choking, tiredness, or panic to cause the bad stretch in the second half. Then, in the last minute, game faces are on again. I just wish they kept that attitude the whole time. Tough. Mean. You are NOT winning. Attitude. I think maybe the crowd got to them? It has to be hard when you feel almost everyone is against you. It gets in your head.

I hate Syracuse fans. I hate losing to them in the last BE game we play them in. I wanted to crush them with our spirit!

I feel like they psyched themselves out, but who the heck knows what is going on in their heads?

we played along and should have beat the #2 team in the country currently. Be proud of our very young team. We are not entitled to always win. We are spoiled... Then again i guess thats how it is here in the northeast.. When we win it is expected and great. When we lose we are chokers, filth, terrible.... Sometimes you need to get up take a few breaths and be thankful we have a team of quality to watch each year. Enjoy it because its not always going to magically be this way.

All our offense needed the last six minutes or so was Kemba Walker or Ben Gordon. Lamb was invisible. Was this by design?

I understand using alot of clock against Cuse-it worked and got us a lead. But once the lead started to shrink we had to switch gears and go into attack mode again. And it seemed we just bogged down no motion or movement.

I agree. But this was a winnable game against a team that is good but not great. My biggest question is what happened to Jeremy. Between JC and the guards he should not have been allowed to disappear the way he did. Little or no movement off the ball; and no effort at all to demand the ball. That imo is not the attitude of a big game player. So I would like to know what JC has to say about it. Was it discussed in time outs? And I haven't seen JC as pissed as he was during the last late TO in a long, long time. Syracuse didn't win this game imo. We gave it away. However, I really agree with other comments about using the game and the time off to really bring it to The Dance. This team is still very capable of making some noise and I honestly believe they will.

GO HUSKIES!!!

I don't believe we choked, rather we just ran out of gas. So, how can you possibly avoid that? Let's start by playing better in the regular season so we could earn a 1st and/or a 2nd round bye.
