That's just a really bad loss as I'd put Seton Hall down as one of the 4 worst teams in the BE along with Providence, Cinci and Pitt. What the heck is going on there?
One team is coached by Stringer, who has no clue about running offense. The other is coached by Ann Donovan, who has excelled as a coach for decades. That's just a really bad loss as I'd put Seton Hall down as one of the 4 worst teams in the BE along with Providence, Cinci and Pitt. And Miami on the verge of upsetting UNC.
I spoke too soon.
WITH THE LEAD, Miami has fouled UNC 3 times in the final minute. They were up 5 with :32 to go. Now up 1 with :21 to go.
Ugly, ugly game. I think both coaching staffs were horrible.OMG, this game is a horror show of giving the game away.
Up 2, Mia misses a FT, but UNC throws the ball out of bounds.
Miami has the ball with :12 and a 2 pt lead, so a win, right? No, UNC steals the ball and drives in for a foul. Hits both FT; tie game.
Miami drives down misses a layup; UNC comes back down and hits a buzzer beater.
Wow, just terrible play.

And Miami drove for that final layup with 8 seconds left instead of HOLDING for the final shot in a tied game. You should at the very worst be heading to OT. Instead UNC had the time to drive and win.

Miami had a timeout to set up a play, however they couldn't get the ball inbounds on 3 possessions in the last minute. It may have been smart not to use it.
A good coach would have much better inbounds plays, starting with running the baseline to set up better passing angles, and have Yederstrom pick, and pop to get open. They also should have had time, and score preparation .
And coaching.stoopid fouls are not new, and rarely has to do with the *suddenly?* increased physicality of the women's game. (Bam Bam anyone?) It has to do with youth and discipline.
With their talent it is unfathomable that they could loose like this! What the hell are CV and her staff teaching these high level players? This has been going on for years now.The Emperer has no clothes.. is there really anyone out there defending CVS as a great coach the last few years? Compare RU's recruiting classes with Seton Hall's the last 4 years.
Maybe Donovan will turn out to be a good hire for the CT. Sun.One team is coached by Stringer, who has no clue about running offense. The other is coached by Ann Donovan, who has excelled as a coach for decades.
Katie Meier's team. A big OUCH!OMG, this game is a horror show of giving the game away.

Yes she did exactly what you think. It was awful coaching end even worse execution on Miami's part. And here I thought Katie Meier was one of the great up and coming coaches. Really sounds like she lost control of the team at the end of the game. I will admit, however, I did not see it. Just responding to the previous posts.
I wonder what her sister, Golda, would have thought.Katie Meier's team. A big OUCH!
Come on. She has the best job in Jersey. A million dollars a year and no expectations!coach stringer needs to retire. She doesn't seem to have the passion for the game anymore, it's like she just going through the motions.
