On ESPN late last night I heard someone say UConn's rebound total of 50 last night was the most rebounds in a NCAA tournament game since 2011 when UConn had 53 rebounds in the title game against Butler.

50 rebounds to their 29 last night, 21 offensive rebounds to their 10.

I just looked and the all-time team record is 76, set by Temple University in 1956, ironically against UConn.

Fred Cohen set the all-time NCAA Tournament rebound for rebounds in that game with 34. Here's the box score for that game.

Poor shooting in that game set the stage for the record rebounding stats, as Temple and UConn combined to shoot 50/164 = 30.4%.

Take out Hal Lear’s shooting and the rest of Temple was 9-54. That’s uh not good.
