I've never seen this before until now, but I would guess that this speech is pretty telling into why Diamond wasn't happy at UNC, and why she ended up playing at the University of Tennessee.

you gonna explain this to me.. perhaps I missed something

Thanks for posting-Diamond cleanup pretty nicely.
How does this speech convey Diamond's unhappyness at UNC?

Some infomercial would use misleading title to disguise itself as a piece of news, same technique.

Misleading title. I'm just going to call it an attention seeking tactic from a Tenneesee fan. smh

just reinforces my view - go with your gut on important decisions. First answer on these things is the right answer. She overthought it and was fortunate enough to be able to reverse the decision. Not always the case.

Wait so let me get this straight" go with your gut, but only when it's the first answer, don't over think it, except in this one instance when you might have, which is not always the case" ? Somewhere in there I see a successful line of T-shirts.

Here is a recent interview. She is talking about health USA and the season.
Diamond DeShields Media Session (6/11/15):

My thought process was that, as a high school kid committed to UNC, she didn't even mention Sylvia Hatchell - just Pat. I would suspect she was unhappy because she realized that she wasn't going where she'd likely wanted to go her whole life. So it's probably nothing specific that UNC did wrong - she just wasn't happy.

I think Diamond mentioned Pat because of Pat's health issue, which was news back then. It was a nice tribute to a great coach and ailing woman.
