I think he makes it to OKC's everyday roster by next season, they've been doing one year rentals to back up Westbrook for awhile, DHam could probably be a decent playmaker off the bench.

Well, maybe next year he gets to play . . . . he'd have been a much higher pick had he stayed (see DeAndre Daniels).
Potentially higher pick, so maybe a little more money, but he is still probably in the G league now. And things did not work out for DD at the next level.

Exactly. He should have stayed for his last year. Probably would have gone higher than 35th pick. And, may have improved his game in the process. Not many kids from UConn leaving early have fared well lately (save for Drummond).

It's always going to be natural to wonder what he could have accomplished here, and there are valid arguments for thinking he should have stuck around, but can we please not turn every thread about him into this?

It would do wonders for Ollie and recruiting if he could carve out a place in the league - 17 assists is eye-opening regardless of the comp.

Why? Seems like he is doing just fine.

if he stayed, maybe he improves his draft position (couldn't hurt) and maybe gets some guaranteed money

although his best options for overall development is certainly debatable

keep working DHam, maybe you'll be a KO and earn your way into the league

Apparently he didn't like improving his chances to play in the NBA . . . sooner anyway.
So you think playing in college against Tulane improves your game more than playing against adults in the NBA development league? Because it doesn’t.

If he stayed through senior year he would do a year or two in the G league before the NBA, now he’ll probably be up this or next year.
