The biggest takeway from today's win and the win over UCF is the team, and its coach finally have understood the important of knowing their roles and having determined roles. I am not a big fan of the zone defense, but it looks to have helped the defensive deficiencies our player have and the players look comfortable playing it.

Ollie has been listening to the many voices around and is showing some fire on the sideline. That's good to see. Whaley is a good big man with upside. Best big man we have by far. His effect on the team is key.

Can't underestimate the importance of Shabazz visiting the team. Good for team psyche that a UCONN legend, winner, and NBA player is there to motivate them and remind them what the jersey they play for really means.

Hah. I mentioned that as one reason his haters should cool off after the Tulsa game. I feel my touch of sarcasm was just vindicated.
