I'm assuming he is still in school, so that could be a factor

As a coach in this situation I feel like you should move on at this point. I think of these visits as a job interview and it is incredibly disrespectful to cancel like this last minute (obviously baring some serious situation).

The rumors about KO going to the NBA are being used by other coaches to discourage recruits from considering Uconn. It is what is it is.

A lot of coaches lie to a lot of recruits. Until Ollie signs a new deal and/or publicly comes out and says he's not leaving UConn, other coaches are going to to use the current uncertainty against us.

That's right. It's for the same reason Daniel Hamilton has not signed as at the moment contrary to his promises.

Can't blame the kid. Why waste his time until he knows for sure Ollie is staying. And to think some people on this board feel these constant rumors helps recruiting.

It will help recruiting in the long run. I don't think Ollie is leaving anytime soon. The dream of every kid we recruit is to end up in the NBA. When you have a coach who was wanted by many teams in the NBA that is something Ollie can sell to recruits. Our 2015 class is going to be very good. Everyone needs to take a deep breath and relax. No point worrying about anything until Ollie indicates he is leaving.

I hope UConn and KO work out the contract very soon before we start losing momentum with a lot of these recruits. We're probably fine but I don't like how this has been drawn out.
