Demary is a rebounding stud | The Boneyard

Demary is a rebounding stud

Part of it is due to our bigs and others having a tough time rebounding. Feel like we’ve been giving up a lot of second chance looks.

Reibe has resorted to just tipping the ball out instead of attempting to grab the ball with 2 hands.

Without Silas there are prob 3-4 more losses on the record. Maybe more?

Remember before the conference portion of the season when many on here wanted to bench him for Smith? Lol

And then there were the more level headed posters (like me) who said he'd get there? The level headed posters have won this one.

I love Demary and he hasn't hit his ceiling yet. He's done this without a PnR partner. I truly believe he's TNew caliber when that happens.

Without a PnR we don't get easy lobs and our PG drives into tougher than needed situations. This would help out Malachi as well, as he can get to the rim but doesn't finish well in traffic.

We still have time to blow the lid off this offenses potential if we can use Riebe in this manner. Reed is not going to happen.

Silas just needs to clean it up a bit, keep taking that set 3 he seemingly makes every time, and stay on the court for 35min.

I agree he is. And not even close. Without him we would have have ~7-8 losses IMO, and be 8/9 seed.
Without him we would look a lot like last year's team. Rudderless and lost in sea.

.-.
There are several reasons why I'm still very high on this team:

1.Silas' ability to take the team on his back.

2. Reibe getting more minutes (I still love T Reed, but Reibe is a different type of player)

3. Ross getting more minutes. (Last 2 games 14minutes a piece- defensively he's good, good rebounder, his passing has greatly improved)

4. Vastly improved 3 point shooting (Solo is back, SD, Mullins, Ross and AK, all shooting better from 3)

Think about where this team would he without him. He’s the 7th most efficient player in the country, most efficient on ball defender for a guard.
He's following a great tradition of rebounding guards at Uconn.
