Demary Big East Player of the Week and Mullins FOW

Nice to see Braylon get his second BE FOW to tie Acaden Lewis and move past Jamier Jones. Will the FOY race come down to these 3? I like Braylon's chances.

Very impressed with Acaden. I had a hunch he would outperform his recruiting rank

Kid is impressive in an interview - really mature. He's a good one. Has the it factor. I'm guessing he sits put at Nova as no reason not to.

I wonder if we had given him Malachi's minutes if he would have come - doubtful with Silas coming back next year. UK missed out there - not sure what they told him, but he would have been an upgrade and a future piece over anything they have this year.

didn't realize Silas's recent run has him up to 48% from the field and 44% from 3, much more efficient than his first two years at UGA.
Doesn’t surprise me at all. His shot quality is much better here than at UGA, which IMO was largely system driven. He was asked to go 1 on 1 and score far too often at UGA.

Silas is pretty incredible. Running at nearly a 3:1 A/TO ratio after going from being a combo guard to a PG in this offense is ridiculous. If he stays next year, and we rebuild enough, I think he will be an AA next year.

I also didn't realize what he was shooting from the field so far.

That's the big statistic for Silas. The opposing team's scouting plan is to go under the ball screen that is set for Silas. If he is able to average 1.5 3PM per game he will be a nightmare for opposing teams and their coaching staff as they prepare their scouting reports. We already know he can drive to downhill to the basket, that is more natural for him.

Currently he is averaging 0.8 3PM per game this season, but since the first game at DePaul on Dec 21st he is shooting 11-17 from 3. From that game, and including that game, UConn has played 5 games which means he is averaging 2.2 3 PM.

I know you can't always read every post on here but you remind me of a friend of mine who talks up a storm but doesn't listen to a word I say half the time because he's talking so much. 😀

Look up 5 posts before yours.
