Between the Class of 1995 (Lobo & Webber) and the Class of 2018 (Collier & Samuelson) each UCONN graduating class has reached at least one Final Four in their four year career. And during that same period of time only two classes 1999 (Duran & Gaine) and 2008 (Houston, Swanier and Thomas) have failed to win at least one National Championship. Although 1995 to 2016 only equal 22 classes, I have also added our three current classes.
Four Final Fours (8): 03, 04, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15 & 16
Three Final Fours (4): 02, 05, 10 & 17
Two Final Fours (7): 96, 97, 98, 01, 06, 09 & 18
One Final Four (6): 95, 96, 00, 07, 08 & 19
Four National Championships (1): 2016
Three National Championships (5): 03, 04, 05, 15 & 17
Two National Championships (7): 02, 06, 10, 11, 13, 14 & 18
One National Championship (9): 95, 96, 97, 98, 00, 01, 07, 09 & 16
Now this truly defines UCONN as being the "MOST" dominate women's basketball program since 1995. Kudos to out to Geno, coaches and the most amazing group of women basketball players ever. It will be fun watching Geno, CD, Shea and Melisa work their magic on the 2016 - 2017 team.
