I thought Huskies would get it against Prairie View. But taking Duke's record in the 2nd round is just as sweet.

And of course for a third time the Huskies got the record for least points given up in a half with just the 10 points in the first half. The 17.5% defensive FG% is criminally low, but they would have needed the Wildcats to miss 8 more times to tie the record of 15.4% that UConn set against LIU in 2001. They did tie the record of only allowing 10 FGs in the game, which both they and Rutgers had set twice each before, with UConn's two coming against Clemson in 2000 and LIU in 2001.

Just a great effort.

It was very nearly 8 in the first half.

To get the record in the SECOND round is very impressive.

And although the defensive effort never lacks no matter whose in the ballgame...Geno cleared the bench for the entire 4th quarter.

True, all the other defensive records I see came in first-round games except the FG record share against Clemson, who got 20 of their 45 points from the the FT line and had only 5 tw0-point FGs, and yes, that's another record.
