Obviously and thankfully the defense has improved this year. I think some of it is related to talent levels on D, but more importantly (at least in terms of providing even more hope for the future) is that the D is working really well together across the three levels to limit big plays. We even now and then are becoming stout enough to force turnovers.
It would seem that Mora has brought a lot to that side of the ball - directly and indirectly - and the staff sure seems to be better teachers than the previous D coaches over the past decade.
D is how UConn football became competitive in the first decade of this century. It makes me confident and hope that we will continue to climb back up the rankings ladder over the next few years. Thank god for hope.
