As it was a huge part of our success, how will this upcoming team compare defensively with our last championship team? Do we expect a big change, upgrade in defense.
We won't know until we see how good an organizer, defensively, Miller is. Our team was unable to handle quick rotations last season, and while a big part of that comes down to individual awareness (and the ability to stop penetration), having someone on the backline who can call plays out before they're happening is essential in modern hoops.
I will say this: the game is the best teacher, and guys like Purvis, Brimah, Hamilton & Facey should all improve. I'll be surprised if they didn't, and Rodey, in particular, was a completely different player by the end of the season.
