He and OC were great tonight. Exactly what we need from them. RB was tough and SN was clutch. All we needed to win. Now, can somebody get a freakin' rebound?
In DD's YouTube videos he wasn't being guarded by a chair was he? I remember Ater Majok dominating a chair on YouTube. Very disappointing that he didn't have a chair guarding him in big east play.

It's starting to come together people. We're starting to see what we saw in those "you-tube " highlight videos , but he's doing it now against Big East competition. He's still going to have some rough spots but I think he'll be a beast next season.
DD could have been a monster tonight. He was very, very good. But if he could have knocked down the foul line jumper, he would have looked like an All American.
No, I am comparing Ater Majok to a chair.

I agree. The current perception of DD is hurt by his recruiting ranking. If he'd been 40-50, then right now we'd be saying to ourselves...hmm, we've got an excellent player developing. And so we do. We have a really nice player.
Also loved that he showed more positive passion tonight than I've seen from him.
i was SO hard on him in the begining. hes probably my second favorite player this year.He and OC were great tonight. Exactly what we need from them. RB was tough and SN was clutch. All we needed to win. Now, can somebody get a freakin' rebound?
Can't figure out what happened on the defensive end. He was constantly getting pushed around. On the offensive end he was his worst enemy. I love his game. He's a mismatch for most teams. He had a lot of good looks that he just didn't finish. You could almost see him getting out of his rhythm and trying to force his shots. And he missed a few one and ones. He could have had a career day.DD could have been a monster tonight. He was very, very good. But if he could have knocked down the foul line jumper, he would have looked like an All American.
Daniels has to learn that there are two ends of the court. He only knows about one.

Are you kidding me? He was the defensive heart and soul last night. He was the guy sticking his nose in there.
Sorry but I didn't see it last night. He is a year or two away. We needed him to crash the boards like there's no tomorrow and he didn't step up. Points are fine but players have to recognized where they are needed and we certainly needed someone to get some rebounds. Had he got 10+ boards and no points I would say he played great (i.e. for that game situation). He did rebound stronger in the 2nd half, maybe Coach said something to him. He's good, and getting better. But no one played great tonight. Good yes, improved yes (OC), but great no. I don't think Ollie would disagree. We were lucky to win that game last night.

If he could develop that elbow jumper Adrien had and put on 25 lbs of muscle we would have a special player here. He would be like our own Jeff Green. When he left Georgetown he was a 14/6 player on 51% shooting, as a junior. Right now sophomore DD is doing 11/5 on 47%.
I think this is correct. I would add one more point. He sometimes gets flustered. Not TO flustered but not OC onions either. Fortunately closer to OC than TO! I expect this not to be much of a problem next season. It's mind-boggling how good Deandre could be if he gets stronger, puts on some muscle, and gets a better handle. He's got the attitude to mix it up inside and rebound, he just needs to be able to finish.
With his height, he can shoot over just about anyone from anywhere on the court.
He's got a nice stroke. His game is coming along. Great game from DD last night when no one else could seem to grab a REB
