seemed like he was getting a better understanding of the game tonight. Better position with the ball and passing

Also great to see. Missed a few shots he should've made or else be couldve has 12 or 14 but still nice to see him make a few shots. If he can come in and make a few threes that's huge for us

The poise he showed on that first 3 was great. He took the time to dribble once, set himself, and shoot the 3 even though a defender was closing on him.

He had some nice cuts to the hoop without the ball. Scored on one, missed one or two?

I don't really see it yet. Sure he hit a few shots but he looks slow a foot and weak. I hope he turns out to be a player. Just doesn't look like a top 20 recruit yet

Here's where he needs to improve the most . . .

1. Be stronger with the ball - soft hands, loses ball too easily.
2. Be stronger with the passes - makes soft passes.
3. Better decisions with the pass.
4. Learn the 10' pull up - he's good at getting past his guy, but he doesn't pull up when a defender is set to draw the charge.

His length is impressive - he always looks tall out there, and he's got the right attitude to be a very good defender.

He'll get there. I can imagine him having a huge 3rd and 4th season.

I feel bad that he said he'd be at UConn just 2 years. Maybe had unrealistic expectations.

Well he will need an absolute Kemba year next year to make that prediction come true. This season won't count towards the 2 year plan that's for sure. He really could become a star (possibly AA) with a 4 year plan.

Why do kids want to rush to leave college ball, and more importantly college life? Oops I know why.

I didn't watch the game. Did DD show any semblance of hustle? Diving for loose balls or taking a charge?

He needs to gain confidence in himself first and then I think some of the other things will start to fall into place. We could really use him down the stretch if some of the other guys struggle at times.

They all have these dreams, or better put in most cases, unrealistic expectations. Denham Brown sticks out as a kid who thought he was a 2 year player and became a 4 year player with year 4 being his best. His life wasn't ruined. The good thing about an 18-19 year old with these expectations, most of them come to realize that they still have plenty of time to make things click when they find out they aren't quite ready so fast. Guys like KO who had an NBA career after 4 years of college and some bouncing around should be more inspirational to kids than they ever really will be, not to mention the kids who just plain finish college and succeed in life in other ways, maybe not so glamorous, or with such great financial potential, but a nice life anyway.

dd needs to put on 50 pounds this offseason. MUSCLE MILK!!!!!!!

Wasn't it around this time of the year that Lamb starting pouring in double digit points regularly? I think if DeAndre were in the same position as Lamb last year, and seeing more minutes, he could have matured and contributed nearly just as much.

It's been too crowded for DD at the 3 this year and he got lost in the shuffle. The RB situation and Calhoun's suspensions/health hasn't helped either.

Based on his physical gifts and athleticism alone, I think he can still make an impact on this team. If he works on his handle and his shot starts to fall he can fill a hole on this team that could really elevate us to the next level.

I do think that expecting him to be gone in 2 years was probably unrealistic but it's still too early to call that now.

The potential is there but he needs to get stronger, improve his handle and confidence. He's got great length. Solid body control, displayed in those baseline drives. 10 to 15 more pounds and he's going to finish better. It's just going to take him more time than many fans had expected, but he'll get there.

Has serious skills but as a finesse player in HS it don't work in the BE. He'll be OK.
