Forget replacing P during the season. IT WILL NOT HAPPEN.

But it now appears that even 6-6 and a bowl game won't save his job. His teams are just too wildly inconsistent. There are too many bad losses. And the NFL demonstrates every year that the team has played below the level of its talent. I won't even get into the mistakes P has made on the sideline, those alone should get him fired.

So the real question is how do we enjoy the season? Easy, we root for the kids. We tailgate like mad. Breath in the college football experience. And look to the future with optimism.

There is one thing we shouldn't do. We should never, ever boo college kids.

I think the, booing was for P himself, but I agree, it sounded awful.

Man, I hate booing UConn athletes and I don't even remember the last time I did, but ya know what? You get your ass kicked at home by Towson, you kind of deserve it.

Only an uneducated fan boo's college kids. Unfortunately we have quite a few of them. I still see an occasional fan get up while we are on offense and try to get others to make noise.

Even the band leader doesn't realize we have a quasi hurry up offense and he needs to chill with the band between plays while Chandler is behind the center trying to call plays.

I've seen this too. There's an easy solution though. The Pats put up a video graphic that simply says "quiet, offense at work".

So, what is the proper reaction to getting humiliated at home to an FCS squad?

Cheer, applaud and sing the fight song?

Look, when we get destroyed by Michigan in a few weeks or lose a close one to USF, I'm not booing.

However, when you get man handled on opening night, by a FCS and people boo, it's time to get off the high horse and let people express their anger and vent by booing.

I hate when fans boo even though they may be booing the coach, the players may not know that.

Ditto that.

But the fans didn't come to the Rent a week ago so they could "BOO" UConn. They came to cheer and that became impossible because of the display on the field. Not one person I was with expressed anything but sympathy for the kids. They saved all their vitriol for the coaches because the kids were not prepared and we had a sh!tty game plan. Preparation and game planning is for our $1.8 mm/year coach his trusty minions.

If Pasqualoni had any class, he would have told the kids the "BOO"s were for him and Deleone et al only and that they were richly deserved. I have been to innumerable UConn games (BB, FB, Hockey etc.) over the years and booing is very rare. This is a new and unfortunate development, but the fans' frustrations were at a extreme level last Thursday.

Hey Sea Goat - is your username a Navy thing? Just wondering...

Anyway, the boos weren't that predominant, though they were audible from the student section. And I don't think it's that huge a deal if college athletes hear booing, though if they're already feeling confused or glum about the way the game is going it doesn't help. But I think they can handle that kind of thing. What I don't do is boo an individual, a kicker who missed or something like that, though I might say "ugh" and cover my face with my hands.
