Before anyone decides to write Saniya off on the basis of her 0/6 day, let me remind y'all once again that shooting, and most especially three-point shooting, is a function of the "law of large numbers". Even for the best shooters, there will be stretches where the damn ball will just not go through the hoop. Nor do I believe that Saniya's misses were because she was in a funk about not starting. The great Maria Conlon once had a streak of 0/31 3's, and if Maria was ever in a funk no one knew about it. Saniya will be just fine and a contributing member of this year's NC team. (It now appears that Gabby will also. Yay for that!)
