Heard they hit the weightroom already for 1st practice. Huge growth this year

2014 lottery pick, if he started doing this late December he may have had an Oladipo-level blow up, good thing he saved his best for last.

Looked like he started to enjoy the game, some times scared when calhoun coached him

He was only a freshmen. It's a big jump from HS to high Div. 1 BB

I don't think the importance of DD as a third player who can create his own offense is. Giffey and Calhoun could get a lot of wide open threes next year if teams are forced to double up DD in the post next year. If we get some defense and rebounding out of the freshmen big men, this could easily be a final 4 team next season.

Since the first Cincy game:

17.7 PPG, 7.7 RPG, 2.8 BPG, 41-84 FG (48.8%), 9-24 3-FG (37.5%)

and in the last 4 games 21.2 ppg 9.0 rbs. if he adds 10lbs of muscle he could really light up the conference next year. if bazz comes back and boat and omar improve this team could be a nightmare to deal with. thats 4 guys who could potentially light you up on any given night. all we need is for wolf and olander to contribute and nolan to keep improving. add to that a couple of talented freshmen and this team could be deep and dangerous by march.

Could be Carmelo-like before he is done.
Even 80% of Carmelo would be great!

I'm not sure about the Melo comparison (and I'm not a Melo fan). I know this is a BIG Stretch, but it appears DeAndre models his game more like Durant. Obviously, Durant is taller, a better shooter & ball handlers. But if you notice, both are slim, have kind of a sly athleticism. They both play very upright & have high release points on their shots, both mix it up outside & inside, both are good are good off a couple of dribbles. They don't seem to force a lot of shots, but let the game come to them. That said, I'm not saying DeAndre is the next Durant, but I see some similar traits in build & style of play.

I cant wait to see Daniels play next year. I have a feeling as well that DD is going to make a huge improvement.
