Now that I'm home after a fun and very satisfying trip to Nashville, it's time to get back into a routine. So here's some info on the Washington Post selections as the best players in the area.

Chloe Jackson, Riverdale Baptist, POY and NC State signee

Nicole Floyd, Stonewall Jackson, Wake Forest

Daijha Thomas, Calvert, Towson

Kelli Prange, Damascus, GW

De'Janae Boykin, C.H. Flowers, Junior and UConn recruit

Kaila Charles, Eleanor Roosevelt, Sophomore

Marta Sniezek, National Cathedral, Junior

Amari Carter, St. John's, Junior

Chania Ray, Riverdale Baptist, Florida State

Ariana Freeman, Paul VI, Louisville

FYI, Boykin played at Riverdale her first year. That is a loaded team that plays national competition.

I wonder if we are looking at Charles, who is an uber-athletic guard, natural scorer, and great defender. Her team was undefeated and won all their playoff games by 25+ points, I believe. They crushed Boykin's team twice, the only losses sustained by Flowers. The last player we had named Charles turned out to be pretty good.

Correction... Chloe Jackson is going to NC State... not UNC

Thanks, my friend. I corrected it. The print version has the word "State" on another line, and I carelessly overlooked it.

Looking at the HoopGurlz rankings ...

Lynee Belton, #10, Duke recruit, made 2nd team WaPo.

Mikayla Venson, #33, Virginia recruit, was not among the top 25 players per the Post.

Floyd was HG #91, and Freeman was #99.

Among Juniors, Boykin was #8, and Carter was #10.

Charles was not on the HG Top 25 sophomores list.
