Single game tickets sales just opened up for the January 11 game UConn@Georgetown at Capitol One Arena. Bought 3 face value tickets in section 109 for $119 each, with only a $9 total service fee. The same seats on Stubhub going for $375 each plus whatever fees. We sat in this section last year, great view and game!

Last year they were like $12 on StubHub day of. Is Georgetown still supposed to be bad? If so might wait

UConn's last three games at Capital One Arena:

2/27/2022: 7,114
2/4/2023: 10,621
2/10/2024: 13,040

With an early January date, I'd guess it draws approx. 12,000. Very little local marketing for games of late, but when a team hasn't sold out a game in 11 years, the demand isn't there.

Eh, I go to one game a year and when the fees are only $3 a ticket. I’d rather be gouged by G-town for a face value ticket that was $75 last year than the secondary market, with their 35% fees. I’m sure G-town also realized that there are probably more UConn fans than G-town fans in the arena.

Btw, any DC-area fans want to catch some games at the Colony Grill in Arlington, VA this season?

Is it just (old) me, or does $119 sound like a ridiculous amount of money for a regular season game?
BTW, that was not judgment - just astonishment. I think back to my days in Storrs when students got into football games for free by showing their student ID (rarely missed a game), and tickets for basketball games at the Field House were $.50 as I recall. Yes, I'm that old.

Speaking of student ID's, back then, your number was the first two letters of your last name, plus three digits. I still remember mine - PR324 - but don't send me to the grocery store with a verbal list of four things to pick up. Guaranteed I forget at least one, resulting in a stroll down every aisle to see what jogs the memory.

same owners as Stamford?
No 100% sure but I heard the Stamford people sold and the new owners started expanding. I went to the ST Pete, FL Colony and it was almost what i remembered from the 1980's Stamford location.. Live in NOVA but haven't been to the Clarendon Colony. Might have to now.

A buddy of mine is in charge of the Rangers/Knicks playoff-watch clubs in NoVA. Colony Clarendon has become a very popular venue for them. It doesn’t hurt that Chris Drury is one of the owners. The hot oil and sausage is solid, and they have a decent, albeit predictable, tap selection.
