Here's a view from a respected college basketball writer, in the heart of ACC country.

Suggesting that an ND decision could happen next week, " ..with ACC officials gathering at a Florida resort for their annual spring meetings, ...".

This is my favorite line:

"Just imagine the scrambling if the ACC did land Notre Dame? Who would be the 16th school? Rutgers and Connecticut, both of the Big East, are most mentioned, but the list of wannabes would be long, indeed."

Outside RU and UConn and other Big East schools, who would this list of wannabees be?!? I didn't realize the was that desirable to teams currently in power conferences!!! Hahaha!

I'd guess he's imagining mainly Louisville just cause they have ants in their pants. Then the rest of the NBE/NNBE and uh, East Carolina. Anyway, this story is old news, just a ctrl-c, ctrl-v job with a note tacked on about Marinatto resigning.

there's probably amendments and provisions to infinity for new teams joining, as there probably are for every conference's TV deal.

Agreed. As brasssbonanza stated, the TV contract can always be re-opened. Finalizing something with the 14 does not mean it could come undone with Notre Dame. And sure, anyone would love to get into the ACC w/ Notre Dame if they were not a part of either the Big 10, Pac 12 or SEC. But realistic candidates are basically UConn and Rutgers.

That said, still having a hard time seeing this happen. It at least needs a Lousiville defection first
