David Bouley, Influential New York Chef, Dies at 70 (Published 2024)
At restaurants like Montrachet and Bouley, he channeled French nouvelle cuisine to create the New American style.
Didn't know until reading his obit that David Bouley attended UConn, and later received an honorary degree. As a former NYer and Tribecan, I so appreciated his contributions to cuisine at Montrachet and Bouley. I realize that on some level it's "just food," but I'd personally consider him among the very most accomplished Huskies I can think of, a humanitarian in every sense of the word. My condolences, and may his memory be a blessing - I know it is to me.
