Seems to have a great knack of scoring the ball in multiple ways. Hope he’ll be more of a 2G here as to not takeaway the focus on that ability.

One thing I like about watching him is his willingness to go to the basket and look for contact. Remind me of how Newton played. Many on this year's team don't attack the basket and, on the rare occasion they do, they shy away from contact. Also, he had a few smooth pull-ups. The ability to hit that shot opens a ton up both from behind the arc and attacking the basket. Very impressive but you can't count on him to be the start PG next year. I agree, we need a veteran with some size and quickness in here who knows how to run a team.

He reminds me a lot of Tristen, also. I think prob a little quicker/sudden, but obv way less strong (age gap as well). He’s a fun watch. He gets into the paint and shoots it well from deep, a ton to like!

One caveat: he really struggled with the physicality of Long island Lutheran on the one game i saw. Find it hard to see him being a starter-level player day one bc of that (and our strength/quickness deficiencies up-and-down the roster!)

And why’s that?
Similar skillsets/mindsets. Score first guards who have the ability to create. Newton was a pass first PG who could score.

It’s hard enough for freshman guards to have success here. I wouldn’t want him to come in and have to learn to run this complicated offense on top of it and take away from his main ability to score.

Hes also 6’5 so he doesn’t even need to play PG. He’s tall enough to be a high level scoring 2G. My comp is Devin Booker for him.
