That being said, my wife put a bowl out "for decoration" and now I find myself having a few here and there. Maybe it's masochistic eating, but I almost think I like it. And now my morning constitutionals are shiny and new.

Wow, the scientific effort is applauded. Our range of trick or treaters has been anywhere from 45 to 66 in a given year. I put a table at the end of the driveway with a tray for the candy. I put out the Hershey's, Snickers and MIlky Ways first. When they're gone, I go to 3 Musketeers, Twix, plain M&Ms. When those are gone I put out the PB M&Ms and KitKats. I hold the Reeses and Peanut M&Ms for last so if there's any leftover, they're mine.
We had 55 kids, so I get all 6 Peanut M&Ms, 4 Reeses and a Kit Kat for me & the wife.
