Hearing Danny Griffin is part of the exodus - Director of Player Developmemt. I am not exactly sure what he did and perhaps him leaving freed up another $80k or so for Chillious?

Read his bio and he sounds a lot like the Verducci to Bob Diaco. Didn't really sound qualified

From his official bio...

"Griffin brings a wealth of basketball knowledge, having played and later coached under legendary Coach Willie West at Los Angeles’ Crenshaw High, where he was a teammate of UConn coach Kevin Ollie"

Interesting...

Not comparable to Verducci at all - DPD is a non-basketball position focused on "working on the off-court development of the student-athletes, helping to set them up for a successful career after college, whether it be in basketball or any other chosen field." What even makes someone qualified to do that besides a background in the game, people skills and an undergrad degree? This is of much smaller magnitude than putting a 30-year OL/TE coach at OC.

Ah, my bad. The title made it sound like something more on court related

So he's basically an academic adviser?

He is a nice guy. Just never understood what he actually did.

Always a bummer when a nice dude gets fired. Just sounds like such is the way in Storrs right now and he unfortunately won't be the final domino to fall.

He's the guy who takes attendance. Where do you think they get those numbers from anyway? Unfortunately, he's usually drunk and waaaay over counts.

is he going too? sounds like something we haven't been good at
No idea. He's just a very...distinctive... looking guy and I was curious what he does.
