Relax. Let the game come to you. Be a threat to pass and defenders will be more tentative. Stop forcing your offense. Setting better screens would be a start.

Just moving on offense ala Rip and Ray Allen would be a start
I have such high hopes for DD but he should have been much more impressive this year to date
Don't want to hear that wait until the comp is better crap - a sure fire draft choice produces no matter the comp
VERY DISTURBING

DD is just in a bit of a slump. It is not a sign of mental weakness, it is just a slump.he needs to make some adjustments clearly but once a few perimeter shots go in, he will turn around.
Now, I'm not saying that Giffey shouldn't take some of his minutes until the slump is over though!

Either way, I think you can state with confidence that Daniels is not going to have a season that rivals Donyell 1994 or Caron 2002. Those predictions were way overblown.

If he can be a legitimate shooting threat and give us 13 and 6, that's enough for this team. And I wouldn't expect any more.

You say "the year to date" as if it is more than one holiday weekend. He also plays the 4 for us, so he's setting screens and flaring more than running around off screens. I don't think I've ever seen him run an offensive set like Ray or Rip. Those guys were guards.

He played 18 minutes today and got five wide open looks - just didn't knock any of them down. He moved fine, he was perfectly patient, and perfectly unselfish - his shots just didn't go in, while the guy taking most of his minutes hit five threes in a row and we won by 20.

The problem with going to the ALL CAPS "oh noes" stuff now is that you have nothing to elevate to when we really do have problems.

Daniels needs to focus on being Daniels and stop worrying about what will get him drafted. That means he has to stop chucking 3's, and work from about 18 feet in and facing the basket. He is a very tough matchup inside the 3 point line for most college 4's.

My prescription for Daniels' slump: Drive it to the hole DD. Go for some monster dunks like you did during the first exhibition game - maybe you don't actually dunk the ball, but you'll get to the line. When you're in a slump, don't settle for jump shots. Take it to the hole!

It's a good thing he doesn't come here to the Boneyard to look for advice - shoot the open three, will ya, no don't shoot the three, attack the basket - no shoot the mid range shot. You've got lo go out there and look to dominate and keep shooting like Ray, no just sit back and let the game come to you like Nadav.

It's like a guy in a hitting slump - everyone chimes in with their two cents, but basically you just have to keep at it in BP, rip a ball or two in a game, and you're back in rhythm again.

Jobu. I do it myself.

He came out in the second half and threw up a runner with 25 seconds left on the shot clock. It looked hurried and forced to me. His game will come around, but he has to show a little more patience.

I agree that he needs to let the game come to him and that he will figure it out. But you can't doubt him for trying to put his imprint on the game considering he's been widely criticized for being overly cautious and not asserting himself on offense in the past.

It's all about finding a good balance of knowing when to impose himself. I think he's gotten a little unlucky as well. A few of his shots look good and just aren't falling. One of his 3s yesterday was half-way down before going in-and-out.

If anyone on our team slightly resembles Nadav, it would be Giffey

DD just needs confidence. No need to over-analyze.

However I will say rebounding more would be a good start.

Looked to me like a designed play to get him a shot to start the second half and try to get him going.

He's going to bust out pretty soon. Too much talent to be held down.

Thinking about it, DD was probably five years old when Nadav played at UConn.

Same thing that everyone has pointed out. Stop thinking and start hustling. I want him shooting 3's like Giffey. Run hard to the line, get feet set, catch and shoot. Don't hesitate, don't jab step and try dribbling to the hoop. He was at his best last year when he caught and shot or one dribble and shot. And oh yeah. Rebound!!!!!!!

And for the record almost every college player could use some of the Dove in his game. Feel, anticipation, timing and onions.

He wasn't even born when Nadav played for UConn. That was 24 years ago. He was 4 or 5 when Rip was a freshman, how crazy is that?
