I've felt since early this season that we may see a progression from Deandre next year that's similar to what we saw from Donyell from his sophomore to junior season. Donyell was ridiculous that year so I don't want to place too much pressure on the kid, with a little more strength the potential is obviously there though. With the way he played tonight his junior year may be starting 9 months early.
Progressiin from start of season:
Omar - greatly improved passing/handling/composure. Very comfortable shooting the rock.
DeAndre - has carved out his niche. Excellent Iso player, strong individual defense, willing on the boards. Will hit the spot up 3.
Phil freaking Nolan - If you told me around game 10 that this kid would be coming in, playing strong post D, converting some slick pump fake moves, hitting free throws, and protecting the rim I would have laughed in your face. His composure is WAYYYYY up, and he has really displayed some redeeming qualities to build on.
Throw in shabazz' growth as a leader, and an excellent job all around by Ollie and the staff
