Between DD and Omar, there has been a ton of growth during this season.

With some work on ball-handling and strength, they could each be monsters next season.

I've felt since early this season that we may see a progression from Deandre next year that's similar to what we saw from Donyell from his sophomore to junior season. Donyell was ridiculous that year so I don't want to place too much pressure on the kid, with a little more strength the potential is obviously there though. With the way he played tonight his junior year may be starting 9 months early.

DD was big time tonight. if he gains some weight and strength this is the type of player he could be on a nightly basis. omar is going to be a stud for the next few years. he really needs to work on his handle and learn to get by his defender more consistantly.

If bazz comes back and fancey and brimah can give us rebounding and blocked shots we could be among the best teams in the country.

Progressiin from start of season:

Omar - greatly improved passing/handling/composure. Very comfortable shooting the rock.

DeAndre - has carved out his niche. Excellent Iso player, strong individual defense, willing on the boards. Will hit the spot up 3.

Phil freaking Nolan - If you told me around game 10 that this kid would be coming in, playing strong post D, converting some slick pump fake moves, hitting free throws, and protecting the rim I would have laughed in your face. His composure is WAYYYYY up, and he has really displayed some redeeming qualities to build on.

Throw in shabazz' growth as a leader, and an excellent job all around by Ollie and the staff

Gotta credit the coaching staff as well as the kids for the progressive improvement through the season ACROSS THE BOARD (with the exception of TO, who is an enigma).

Agree with all of the above guys. Don't forget Giffey! He's stepped up his rebounding, defense, and positioning. He just needs to be a little more willing to take an open J, but he's settled in well.

If DD and Omar both keep projecting up, this team will be an even tougher out next year.

Nolan has been impressive as well. I can't help but remember him missing multiple wide-open layups early in the exhibition games. Kid has definitely settled in and contributed in a way we needed BADLY.
