One of my favorite radio personalities. I anticipate his radio and TV shows.

Today for example one of the sidekicks on the show was describing the sound of the clattering of the pins in bowling like ducks a wing.

Amazing and hilarious was the following 15 minutes of riff.

Dan has a unique perspective and I love the fact that he could see the funny and absurd in sports. He didn't take himself or sport too seriously.

He also has a serious side and is unafraid to express his view and opinion in areas of Injustice as well as as hypocrisy.

Didn't know if it was appropriate to post on this forum but I have a suspicion that there are many boneyarders who have experienced his show and have a strong reaction to his approach.

Always enjoyed his work, though I haven't listened to him in a while.

Ron Magill (Miami Zoo guy) was the best part of that show.
I agree! Rather than singling out any one of the team I see it as an outstanding group endeavor.

There is both a real joy in the interaction of the team as well as a willingness to take risks in achieving either humor or commentary.

Dan's time has come and gone...he...will...not...be...missed...by...my...household. Something about me wanting a sports talk show to occasionally you know, actually talk SPORTS....

Interesting perspective

Digitally, Le Batard was ESPN’s biggest podcast draw, though ESPN didn’t have the monetization down to industry standards. A rival company can and will make more from Le Batard’s show than ESPN has. But, yes, losing Le Batard hurts ESPN’s podcast network.

Then there’s the drama. Le Batard was a headache for ESPN, broadcasting every issue he had with management on air. Obviously, ESPN had to sign off on his leaving, so they must have calculated that his upside was no longer worth the downside.
