We know what living in purgatory is like, so let's take a pause to recognize and appreciate that we have one of the top coaches, program builders and bball minds in the game. Someone who loves his players, bleeds for this university and who delivers championships, national recognition and brand relevance and will do what it takes to make sure we never go back.

With all the talking head and opposing fan chatter about what a blight on the game Danny Hurley is, I found this flow chart to be helpful.

While I don't like or agree with all of it, Danny's mistakes pale in comparison to the shenanigans highlighted in that flow chart. Dan Hurley is the man, and I'm glad he's ours. "Two rings, baldy!"

This quote is what I appreciate about Dan Hurley

“There’s a lot of rewiring and things I’ve got to do in the off-season because you just get caught up in this tidal wave of success that we’ve had.” Hurley said. “You lose perspective. You struggle with the ego at times because you’ve been on this incredible run.”

I'll credit him for being very self-reflective and aware of his own stuff. Just want to see him put it into action. I think he said similar things last year when he had fan run-ins, etc.

It is true that there's a difference between knowing the right thing to do versus actually doing it. But the former is an important step, and progress with these things isn't often linear and can actually be cyclical.

The flow chart exhibits what's good & not so good about memes. On balance, I gave a Like, but it prompted my closing paragraphs. Also, I wouldn't mind a brief video clip of Ed Cooley complaining that he wasn't included.

I've seen Dan Hurley to rise to new challenges every year he's been at UConn, and repeatedly called it his "growing edge."

Dan Hurley has continually identified areas for improvement and addressed them, largely with success.

The college basketball landscape has continuously shifted and demanded adjustments. Again, Dan Hurley has performed well.

This upcoming off-season and season will be no different. The hubris/humility balance will be in play. Roster construction & resources will be very much in play. Stress related to retention & recruitment gets another boost.

I wish he'd flipping limit his high profile use of the word , because too many others are too eager to use it against him & the UConn program, and are gaining a foothold by doing so.

EDIT - The prior paragraph was initially posted as a test, and edited in favor of self-censorship. It results in being less impactful in good & bad ways.
