Tufts won't be back to the final 4 for the 5th straight year.
Carla & the #8 Jumbos had split with NESCAC rival #5 Bowdoin - losing in the regular season and winning in the NESCAC tourney - but today it was all Polar Bears. Bowdoin jumped out to a 20-8 lead and expanded it to 31-12, before Tufts made a run a closed to within 6 in the 3rd quarter. But that was as close as it got. The PBs sealed the game with a 13-0 run to start the 4th quarter. 66-48
Undefeated #1 Amherst also advanced to the final 4 with a 62-38 win over Rochester.
Bowdoin returns to the final 4 for the 2nd time - they were a finalist in 2004.
Defending champ Amherst is in its 8th final four in the last 10 years.
