In a blowout, putting second and third string players on the field and expecting them to simply lay down and not try to score isn't fair to those kids. They deserve a chance to play it straight. If you can't stop them from scoring that's on your team, not theirs. Figure it out. This mercy rule nonsense at the HS level is for wimps. [/QUOTE]
