what the........it looks like you just threw some paint at a map and labelled the dots! Lol!

My biggest takeaway: It's odd that Iowa and Kansas don't border each other

If the B1G ever goes to 18 and will only go as far south as UNC, we should be a shoo-in.

It's almost like you could draw a straight line from Austin to Ames and you've got the Big 12. Texas Tech and WVU are the outliers. If they went after Minnesota the could bisect the conference and declare I-35 as their sovereign territory.

Nice find HFD. Note that the conferences that that make the most sense geographically are also the most financially stable.

This map tells me the obvious.......the B-12, B1G, and ACC need to take the BE off life support an just end the fantacy of a viable football conference. WVU is obviously a huge outlier in the B-12, but if you add Cincy and Louisville then WVU has some quasi regional foes.

Why the lack of interest from the B1G in UConn baffles me. The B1G could have a stranglehold on the NYC market with Rutgers to the south and west and UConn to the north and east. Syracuse and the ACC would be an afterthought in NYC. Regardless, UConn needs and out and I could care less whether it is the ACC or the B1G.

the google map link is cool. The markers are on the stadiums if you zoom in all the way.
