But---it's meaningless since every school counts revenues differently. For instance, Texas includes ALL donations to the Longhorn fund as revenue. Other schools use ALL brand money as revenue. Some schools use student fee proceeds as athletics revenue. Other schools do not include debt payments for athletics stadiums in their expenditures, while others do. Most schools want to hide the true spending in their athletic program as best they can because they don't want their #1 customers, parents, knowing just how much they're spending.

Football is king. I’d say baseball is getting bigger too. Basketball on a whole is probably neck and neck with baseball in the sec and pac12. Big money. But football is king.
