Just watched the game on the Bird and Taurasi show and they had Stewie on and the 3 of them were saying they watch college kids and think how they will be when they get to the WNBA and all three agreed that CW was going to be a beast in the league..Sue said she'd be shocked if CW wasn't drafted in the top 10

Christyn is one of those players who’s going to be better at the next level imo. Everyone plays man defense. The floor is spread with much better shooters. Christyn will be able to isolate her defender more easily and has the strength and athleticism to overpower opposing players.

I think she'll get a roster spot somewhere. She's got the physical attributes to play in the W but I don't see her making a big splash right away. Every year the league has hundreds of the best WBB players vying for only about 144 roster spots. Hard to say how long she will hang on without growing her game or finding a niche role in which to excel.

I think she has become alot more aggressive driving to the basket over the last few weeks and has improved making 3pt shots in important parts of the game. Her physical defense is so much better than early in her career. It will take some time but I am sure she will stick and get better.

I worry more about Evina. Not sure she has the sheer athleticism but she does have playmaking and a clutch gene so hoping for the best.

THAT assessment means a lot from those three. They know the game and what it takes to play at that level. We'll see shortly. The draft is April 11. The first game is May 6.

FYI, all the WNBA mock drafts I have seen, project Christyn, Liv & Evina to go either late 1st round or early 2nd round. WNBA GM’s like UConn grads, because they know they’re well coached and ready to compete in the W.

No attack I like your premise ..... But for that to happen, first the fan base has to expand. The W that at one point had 16 teams and now down to 12 is lacking fans more than anything. I hope your desire becomes a reality sooner rather than later.

Usually, expansion comes when the league is financially successful. The WNBA is a business after all and it seems unlikely that we will see any expansion until it stops hemorrhaging money. The first order of business is finding ways to increase interest and viewership. Perhaps some of the players we will watch tomorrow night may be able to help with that but until they can attract more viewers and get more fans in the seats, expansion is simply pouring gas on the fire!
