4th Woman to win the award (Pat, Tara, Muffet), and 5th WCBB coach. The 5th coach isn't mentioned in the article but, from doing the math, appears to be a male - hmmm (see 2012 winner in this list)...

I believe Jim Calhoun won this as well.

Congrats to her and well deserved. Some may chafe a bit at her "us against the world" mantra, and her success is partly due to sheer longevity (granted, she won the NIT once, 4 final 4's, won the Big East once and Big ten 6 times), but never the less, she has amassed a fantastic overall career record of accomplishments.

Well stated.
If Lon Kruger was good enough for this, C-Viv certainly is.

Man of a 1000 faces ...

Or am I misremembering?

Are awards won or received? Just a nit I felt like picking.;)

I read the title of this thread really fast so I read it as Cviv won wooden leg coaching award.

As for CViv...the only image I will ever recall of her is seeing her raise the roof after beating UConn. I can't remember if it was her first time doing so or if it was a BE Tourney win. I just thought it look funny for a coach to do that.

And I was always a big fan of Tasha Pointer.
