and how many did not.
I know Sue Bird (98) did. I know Tina Charles (06) did.
Chamique Holdsclaw (95) did not

Lorin Dixon (07) of course is another who came, but I don't know the whole list of who did and did not.

anyone have this data?

There have been a number of CTK graduates who've played college basketball but only 10 11 who went on to play at high level Div 1 programs. Here's a list beginning in 1990:

Chamique Holdsclaw '95 Tenn
Sue Bird '98 UConn
Clare Droesch '01 Boston College
Shay Doron '03 Maryland
Carrem Gay '05 Duke
Tina Charles '06 UConn
Sky Lindsay '07 St John's
Lorin Dixon '07 UConn
Tahira Johnson '09 So Florida
Ariel Edwards '10 Penn State
Bria Smith '11 Louisville (via UVA)

[Edited to add Shay Doron per Dobbs post below]

UConn did recruit Shay Doron but I don't know if UConn ever showed interest in either Droesch or Carrem Gay.

BTW, on the men's side, Sierra's brother Omar is the first CTK grad to play for UConn. Another -- Jordan Fuchs '13 -- will be joining the UConn men's team in the fall.

Rady,.........Geno gets one every now and then history shows. He might get a Tina Charles and lose a Chamique. But all-in-all , many of the one's Geno gets he turns into All- Americans. Each one has a NCAA Championship as well.

Chamique committed to Tennessee before UConn had established itself as a true national power. I wonder what the case would have been had she been class of '96 and not '95.

One more for the CTK list is Shay Doron (03) who led the team to the #1 ranking in the USA in her senior year and played on one MD national champion team and went on to the WNBA. Came over from Israel to play her junior and senior seasons for the Catholic school.

Yes, great catch. Interesting that Shay is not listed on CTK's alumni page. Geno definitely recruited her but Brenda Frese won that recruiting battle.

well, thank you. My intent was to show the stream of prospects to UConn vs other colleges, more or less to refute a post in another thread. That's all.

That's what had me confused by DaddyC's comment in the other thread.
