We are doing a nice job this year. I don't think as many FT's though.

WBB State has the following updated FT% numbers.
UConn - 80.1%
Columbia - 79.5%
South Florida - 78.4%
Creighton - 78.4%
Northern Kentucky - 78%

Below are the Power 5 Conference teams near the top(only included the teams in the Top 25 for FT%)
Michigan State - 77.5%
Washington - 77.2%
Oregon State - 76.9%
Ohio State - 76.1%
Purdue - 75%

At the other end of the list the team with the lowest FT% in D1 WBB(349 teams) is Alabama A & M at 54%
Other power 5 Conference teams near the bottom are :
Mississippi - 59.4%
Clemson - 60.3%
Oklahoma State - 61.1%
Wake Forest - 62.4%

Looks like if you go to a school in the south (South Florida excepted) you dont shoot as well as a team from up north or or the NW.

Current rate is 15.1 per game, last year was 15.5/game - Uconn record for attempts is 948 in a year in 1998-9 or 27.9/game. Not being in game situations where teams are fouling late in an attempt to win doesn't help matters and being a big jump shooting team inside and outside the arc also reduces shooting fouls.

As far as percentage - the Uconn single season record is .765 from 2010-11 so we are well ahead of that pace and that year the average per game was 17.8. ESPN is out of date - the current percentage is .801
