Trumbull will be relevant in the FCIAC again, very soon. Huge move by the Trumbull administration to bring Marce home.

Any word on who is going to take over at Staples? I played at Staples before Coach P took over the program and we were horrible. My younger brother played for Coach P at Staples 6 years later and they went the State Champioship game. Another example on how good coaching makes a huge difference.

Let's hope so. MP is a better coach than Bobbie Maffei ever was, and although Maffei lost control of the team, MP will be up against the same problem that Maffei was up against, which is the slowly changing demographics of the town of Trumbull over the past 30 and 40 years. Trumbull does not get the tough blue collar kids to the degree that it used to get, and youth football in that town has fallen off a cliff. If MP can circle the wagons and can take control of the program from the grassroots level he could make that team great again.
